I've lived in California for over 40 years, but all my schools are in New York, so I almost never go to reunions. I went to my 40th high school reunion and will go to the 50th next year. I've attended only one college reunion and might go to my 50th in a few years. That's it, though.

I stopped going to my High School reunions 10 years ago after we moved out of state and have not been missing them. I always felt I tried to reconnect. I had very few close friends and I was a bit of an outcast in our small town as my Dad was the well-known town drunk. I now prefer occasionally hanging out with very few new friends who both like and trust me.

I've never lived close enough to attend a class reunion. Now at 67 I'm close to the big 5-0 next year and I can honestly say that's the last place I want to go and reunite. I didn't graduate from there, I left at 17 and graduated in a new school my senior year. I never forgave my parents for moving me in my last year,I think it's had lasting effects.
